Outer Rim War III Begins...!

I hope you are prepared to do battle on behalf of the Empire in the Outer Rim War III: The Subterrel Conflict...!

The Subterrel Conflict is the third multi-club, multi-platform event to bear the name "Outer Rim War." Starting on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of February, ORW3 will take place every weekend starting at 9am EST on Saturday and ending at 12am EST on Sunday, in the Undernet IRC channel #Outerrim. Games supported include Empire at War, Battlefront 1 and 2, Republic Commando, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, XvT and XWA.

Leading our troops in this battle are none other than Commander Steel < ge_steel@freenet.de > (Navy) and Colonel Burton < munro.burton@gmail.com > (Army). If you are interested in joining the fight, please contact them as soon as possible!

Ill definatly be attending though i hoped that FOC wouldve been able to enter this compitetion eaw still has alot of bugs to exploit and a few balance issues to still be worked out. ( ie VSD's cost 4200 credits and the infamous and still not fixed Accalmator rapid fire torpedo glitch)

Just means though i guess ill have to practice with Eaw more to get around the differences between foc and eaw. Im fixing to be really active in this campaign been iching for one for awhile now.

To connect to #Outerrim, download a suitable IRC client or find a good webclient. I suggest mIRC( www.mirc.com ) or Polarhome's CGI IRC( http://www.polarhome.com/cgi-bin/chat/irc.cgi )

Under nick, you would put EN_Hadrian or GE_Hadrian. You cannot use spaces.
Under Server, enter irc.undernet.org. If this does not work, choose a specific server from http://www.undernet.org/servers.php
Under Channel, enter #Galactic_Empire or Outerrim. You can join multiple channels after connection, so it doesn't really matter which.

hmm, this all seems very interesting and I would love to be a part of it, but if Galactic Battlegrounds is not supported then I will not be able to participate.

The ORW3-wiki says that GB may possibly be used, but is not in favour due to EaW.

Maybe if you find some people here and in the other clubs with the wish to use this game in the war you maybe can request to use it.

GB was not included on the final list of games. When looking up information, check the website, everything there is primary. The Wiki provides secondary information, so bear this in mind while reading them both. Where both offer conflicting information, the site comes out on top. ORW3 is going to be 95% gaming. The other 5%(if that much) isn't really vital or intregral to the event and it involves writing articles glorifying the victors, villifying the losers and so on. See http://wiki.rebelsquadrons.org/ORW3#Newsletter
