I am sort of afraid to get to excited about this game. I hope that it is absolutly awesome, but I am worried that it will be messed up somehow. I really hope that it is not to much like Command and Conquer. While I really liked that game back in the day I am really bored of the typical RTS.

Heres to hoping this game is good.

From what I've seen so far, I don't think they can screw this up too much. Especially considering the fact that Petroglyph is spearheading the effort, rather than LucasArts.

im mad the playing parts so restricted on the demo and your restricted to the rebellion outside the tutorial also

True, but it's a start. As for the "overexcitment", I think it's important to note that by the time I started downloading this late in the evening, there had already been a grand total of 58,116 downloads. Off hand I would say that this game is certainly being greatly anticipated.

[EDIT] Also important to note, there are so many people downloading that file from the Downloads.com site that I could barely scratch a 15 Kb/s dl rate (ETD 12-13 hours). So I went over to Fileplanet.com and got the whole thing in 45 minutes. But the interesting thing is their counter was also already in the 5 digit range, at 33,982 downloads. That's almost 100,000 downloads from two sites alone in a very short period.
