Free Worlds - Hyperion Server news: A call to arms!

A few people have been asking why they cannot connect to our "semi-official" Free Worlds server. Well, after poking and probing a bit ( I couldn't either), I found out that it went offline, because too few people were playing there.

As most of you Free Worlds people know, our last plan was to set a date, from when we (the GE Free Worlds players) would try to be online for as many hours a day as possible. Steel, Laith, Zwib and I came up with the idea that, if we'd manage to have some 3-5 GE people online at all times, we could set up some trading, mission & training runs and invite everybody who comes online to join us, thus sparking activity there and creating a sort of "Hi, my name is..." get-together-party that would hopefully result in people coming online more often and getting to know "the others".

I would like ALL of you who are interested in joining the Free Worlds part of the GE, or who already are, to go here and sign that thread with a few words.
This thread will decide if that server (and I like that little server very much, thank you!) will be turned on again or stay up.
The "hard core" of the server players already did so, but I'd like to have GE people sign there, too!

While I don't have Freelancer (and thus FW), I would encourage *all* of those who do and actively play to sign this thread and keep the server going. If Mr. Vortagh likes it, it is obviously something to try and hold on to.

I still can never find a working download of Freeworlds. If anyone can point me around or give me a link to a actually working site I would get it.

Unfortunately someone has taken the tag [CIV]Wedge without bothering to check that I had already called it, so I'm stuck until ZaccaR adds me to the Imperial memberlist.

Free Worlds 1.65
FW 1.65 patch (not necessary, but recommended)

Well, now that I've got Freelancer, I suppose I should get FreeWorlds up and running. I'll do my part to keep the server online!
