Description: A small and densely populated world on the fringe of GE territory, the Korad system is still one of great importance to the Empire. Its large population is due to the fact that it was one of the very first planets to be settled in this sector. When Imperial forces first arrived in the sector, a previously designated system near Korad was found to be uninhabitable, so the colony ships destined for there were diverted to Korad instead. Korad was also the one of the first systems Imperial forces passed through on their way through the sector giving it a bit of a head start on even the Sector headquarters on Elrood. Economically the Korad System provides many of the essential resources needed for imperial expansion in the Sector. Much of the mineral wealth of the system is concentrated the large Korathian Asteroid Belt separating Korad and Koradin, in addition to the abundant resources of the planets themselves.
