Description: The planet of Lothbo is different than all the other planets in the Lanthrym System in the regards that it is the only one with a fully encompassing temperate climate. While the others may have spots or patches, Lothbo maintains a livable surface over more than 85% of its land and water area. Arctic poles and arid deserts do exist, simply not in the abundance they do elsewhere in the system.

Because of this, Imperial Army Command maintains a number of mulitype training facilities all around the planet. Each of these is located in a number of different locations, depending on the situation. Snow troopers, Scout troopers, and standard stormtroopers can all find a training facility on Lothbo. In this sense, Lothbo is one of the most important places for the indoctrination of new recruits.

Many thousands of years have gone by since Lothbo was first discovered by the Republic survey vessel Fleeting Glimpse. Records of the discovery survive because of rumors that the ship crashed deep in the jungles near the equator. Amoung the cargo of the ship was supposed to be rare artifacts from other systems the Fleeting Glimpse had surveyed on its way back to Coruscant. When the vessel went down, a rush of treasure seekers began looking, but the vessel has never been located, leading to speculation that the records might have been fabricated.
