Description: Although Meris VI is closer to Meri than Merisee, it is the ice planet's lack of an atmosphere which causes it to have such a low temperature. The lack of an atmosphere is due to the planet's lack of a strong gravitational centre. In fact, the planet's core is solid ice, verified by the occasional research expeditions from overfunded universities.

Some very ambitious corporations have proposed utilizing the Mezzicanley Wave effect to shatter the planet and form an ice asteroid belt, which would be easily mined. However, every plan created so far indicates that a minimum of ten Star Destroyers worth of firepower as well as a large number of 'shieldships' are required to successfully execute the project. Since the Meris system is within Imperial space - considering the Imperial policy on no neutral battle-capable fleets within Imperial space - and High Command has declined to participate in the project, it is likely that Meris VI will remain undisturbed for the remaining 6 billion years Meri is estimated to last.
