Description: Meris III is far too close to the star to sustain life. The intense heat is only one of the factors keeping this planet uninhabitable. The solar wind from the star frequently hammers the surface of Meris III, scouring the rock into sand. On a lower-gravity planet, the sand might be swept off the planet by the same forces which caused the deserts to come about. However, Meris III's stronger gravity usually retains the small particles making up its deserts. The dust on the surface now protects the solid rock underneath from the solar wind.

The planet has no valuable resources on the surface. A cursory survey deemed the planet as one of the most useless in the sector, leading it to be completely ignored by sane beings and most insane beings.
