Description: The second gas giant of the system, this one is also very close to the star. Too close for physical visits, though a carefully plotted hyperspace jump can bring a starship safely into the shadow of Meris II. There is no reason to do so, however.

Meris II has an extremely slow rotational period. The reason for this becomes apparent when its orbital period is viewed. The gas giant is tidally locked with the star.
