Description: Capital planet of the Alluvian System.

Alluvia is the second world in the Alluvian system, and is an ocean world whose high concentrations of metals and minerals make it unsuitable for settlement. The Anguilla, the native species of the planet, lead a primitive nomadic lifestyle, and their anatomy makes them ill-suited for off-world travel. The planet remains thus fairly isolated, although this was not always so.

Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the Anguilla sided with the Rebel Alliance and repelled the Imperial Mining Limited outfit that had been set up to harvest Alluuvia's abundant mineral resources. Afterwards, Radell Mining Corporation was granted an exclusive contract with the Anguilla to mine the planet. They continued their operation until shortly after the battle of Endor, when the Rebel Alliance was able to offer Radell more lucrative contracts closer to standard trade routes.

Extracting minerals from the planet-wide ocean is very time extensive without the equipment Radell developed, and this combined with the distrust of the natives has lead the Galactic Empire to pay the planet little heed. The Anguilla are not openly hostile to the Galactic Empire, but have shunned attempts at communication, and seem content to be left to their own devices. Should the Alliance-controlled Radell attempt to return, however, Alluuvia may play host to a dramatic conflict.
