Description: Takornan is the fourth world in the Derilyn sector, and the first inhabited planet. It boasts breathtaking mountain ranges and wild jungles, cut through by the wildest rivers in the system. Many animal and mineral resources are harvested from Takornan for use throughout the sector. Although the full-time population of the planet is small, it swells yearly at springtime in the southern hemisphere, when the raging rapids are at their wildest. Thrill-seekers from near and far come to brave the rapids, and although there are a number of deaths each year, the sport remains popular in the sector.

Takornan I is a moon with less-than-standard gravity and a mostly mild climate. The large volcanic ridge circling the moon's one large continent makes for excellent hot springs, often visited by tourists after a day of being pummeled in Takornan's rapids.
