Description: Capital planet of the Derilyn System.

The fifth planet in the system, Derilyn is a large temperate world with varying terrain and a mixed populace, consisting mostly of Humans, Coynites, Meri, Teltiors, and Gamorreans. Derilyn was brought under Imperial control during the height of the New Order, and served as the base of operations for the Elrood sector army. After the death of the Emperor, Derilyn became the base of all Imperial activity in the sector, and remains the heart of the Galactic Empire's military operation.

The Derilyn Space Center is a model Imperial institution, with nearly unbelievable levels of efficiency thanks to the many Coynites who elected to join Imperial service under the Galactic Empire. Their strict codes of honor and conduct ensure that officers always give their best, and although there have been incidents where these codes conflicted with standard Imperial operating procedure, these have been few and far between. Derilyn has thus served as a model for the entire sector, and helped to encourage other natives to join the Empire's cause.

The efficient Space Center ensures that the Elrood-Derilyn trade route is alive and flourishing, and offers a stringent training program for Imperial officers from other parts of the sector. Thorough monitoring of traffic has cut smuggling down to nearly nothing, which has helped boost profits throughout the entire sector.

Rumors have it that Imperial Intelligence maintains a base on Derilyn's small rocky moon, but these remain completely unsubstantiated.
