Description: Serrata is the eigth planet in the Derilyn system. It is a hugely massive gas giant whose mass is inorexibly growing as it sweeps through a thin gas field which permeates the outer reaches of the system. Serrata has at present five natural sattelites, but it is believed that there were once more, before the planet swelled and swallowed them up. Serrata has reached such mass that it will soon induce fusion, possibly even within the next few thousand years. It already has an enormous impact on the other planets within the system, as well as the two suns around which they orbit.

The outermost moon of Serrata hosts a fully-staffed research center, as scientists are eager to take advantage of the opportunity to observe such an extraordinary birth of a star.
