This utility allows one to extract WAV files from the LFD files used in TIE95.

The sound files that are stored as WAVs (and thus editable with this program) are standard sound effects such as doors, beeps, weapon fire, etc, but also some voice data like in-flight and briefing messages.

Starting the program it will be set to export as WAV (8-bit mono, 11,025 Hz). Simply choose the LFD file to scan, and any WAV files will be show in the list on the right. Click on a sound to listen to it, and you should be able to figure the other standard buttons yourself ;-)

To import your own sound effects, select the 'Import' option under the list box, and simply work in reverse. Select the LFD and WAV, and hit 'Save' to load it. At this time, WAV filenames must match the default export name (as shown on the list). This is just to ensure that you don't accidentally try to dump a sound effect in the wrong LFD, and TSE won't let you do it unless it can find the original resource.

As with the File Reader, there could be potential issues with future patches unless the patching utility gets an overhaul

INSTALLATION:
Simply extract TSE.zip anywhere on your computer, ensuring that Common.dll is in the same directory. It will locate the TIE95 directory on its own.

UNINSTALLATION:
Just delete it, there are no registry keys left behind.
